Settings
Configure people, permissions, delivery standards, product data, policies, organisation structure, and integrations.
Settings controls the shared structure behind every Modora workspace. Use it to manage access, standardise project delivery, maintain product information, and connect external services.
Settings sections
| Section | Use it to |
|---|---|
| User Profiles | Add internal users, update their details, and manage invite status |
| Role & Permissions | Manage roles, API permissions, and visible application modules |
| Phase Management | Build project types, timelines, phases, tasks, and checklists |
| Product Management | Maintain sections, products, materials, material types, and taxonomy |
| Project Settings | Maintain reusable project policies |
| Organization | View reporting structure and manage departments and designations |
| Integrations | Connect supported third-party services |
Access to settings
Settings visibility is controlled at two levels:
- Module access controls which Settings tabs a role can open.
- API permissions control the actions available inside those tabs.
Super administrators have full access. Other roles only see the sections enabled for them and may still have read-only access inside a section.
A safe setup order
For a new workspace, configure Settings in this order:
- Create the required roles and confirm their permissions.
- Add departments and designations.
- Invite internal users and assign their roles.
- Build project types and reusable delivery templates.
- Configure products, materials, and related taxonomy.
- Add project policies.
- Connect required integrations.
Why is a Settings tab missing?+
Ask a super administrator to review Role & Permissions → Module Access for your role. If the tab is visible but an action is unavailable, the role may be missing the corresponding API permission.
